In the said lecture, even though I had a fair grasp of the matters of politics, I had learnt a substantial amount regarding the British government and their diverse laws. Although politics isn’t my forte (I want to enter the field of sports journalism), it seemed to be an interesting lecture, and I am looking forward to progressively learn more about the world of politics, as they are important in the world we live in today.

Ah – I thought you were a sensible chap. I am United too – though I am more FC United since Glazer, Sky, etc. At least you can actually get into the ground. My claim to fame is that I was at Villa Park on the night Ryan Giggs scored the greatest goal in football history. The snag was I had gone to the match by getting a cup ticket from Arsenal (they had spares) so I was in the Arsenal end. I did an involuntary victory lap up and down the aisles and then suddenly realised that I had 10,000 hostile eyes drilling in to my back.
Giggs’s brother Rhodri Giggs played for FC United last year; but he’s been poached by Curzon Ashton – who are a sort of Stockport County tribute band.
My own United heros are Bryan Robson and of course Eric Cantona. I’m less keen on the more fancy dan types like giggsy and this new Ronaldo character. But of course Eric was pretty flash.
